Bradley Attorney Amy Puckett Earns Certified Information Privacy Professional Credential

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Amy E. Puckett, an associate in the firm’s Charlotte office, has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) credential in the United States through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

“We are proud of Amy’s success in earning the Certified Information Privacy Professional credential,” said Bradley Charlotte Office Managing Partner Dana C. Lumsden. “She is among numerous Bradley attorneys who have been certified as leaders in privacy and data protection matters.”

A member of the Privacy, Security, and Innovation team in Bradley’s Banking and Financial Services Practice Group, Ms. Puckettfocuses on data privacy, consumer protection, financial services regulatory compliance, and employment law. She counsels clients on a variety of privacy and information security compliance issues, including data breach response and notification requests. She also advises financial institutions on compliance with the regulations of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as well as other state and federal regulations. In addition, Ms. Puckett counsels employers on effective employment policies.

Ms. Puckett received her J.D. (cum laude) from Wake Forest University School of Law, her Master of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and her Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Davidson College.

Accredited by the American National Standards Institute, the CIPP is recognized as a leading global privacy and data protection credentialing program. The CIPP/US designates professionals who demonstrate a strong foundation in U.S. private-sector privacy laws and regulations and understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to/from the United States, the European Union, and other jurisdictions.
