Raleigh-based Momentum Learning Raises $375,000

Momentum Learning Inc. raised $375,000 in an equity offering, according to a filing Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The money was raised from five investors, according to the filing. The company still has $25,000 left to raise.

Raleigh-based Momentum Learning was founded this year.

Jessica Mitsch, chief executive officer of Momentum Learning, is the executive director of growth and strategic partnerships at The Iron Yard. Formerly, she was the director of global operations at The Iron Yard and the campus director of TIY Durham at The Iron Yard since 2014.

Prior to 2014, Mitsch was a global mobility associate at Red Hat. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in religious studies and dance.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.
