Nucor Executive Hall Sells Over $1 Million in Stock

An executive at Nucor Corp., a leading producer of steel, has sold over $1 million in company stock, according to a Monday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ladd R. Hall, executive vice president of flat-rolled products, sold 8,402 shares of stock valued between $57.82 and $58 a share for a total of $1,018,697.

He still owns 189,122 shares worth more than $10.9 million.

Hall has been the executive vice president since September 2007. He came to Nucor in 1998 and served as the vice president and general manager of Nucor Steel South Carolina. Before his time with Nucor, he worked at Vulcraft, another steel and steel product company.

Hall received $3.1 million in total compensation from the company in 2016, up from $2.4 million in total compensation in 2015.

Nucor reported earnings last month for the third quarter that included a net earnings of $268.5 millions, or 83 cents per diluted share, down from the previous year’s quarter earnings of $305.4 million, or 95 cents per diluted share.

The company’s stock is at $57.99, down 1 cent, in Monday afternoon trading.
