Stantec’s Charlotte Office Appoints Landscape Architecture Principal, David Amalong

11/6/17

David Amalong has relocated from Stantec’s Denver, Colorado office to join the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina community development practice. Amalong is an urban designer and registered landscape architect with close to three decades of experience.

"This is a unique opportunity to create a specialized urban design and landscape architecture studio in one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing regions of the United States," Amalong says. "Our clients will benefit from our local expertise, supported by the resources of one of the most influential and respected global planning and design practices."

His public realm design leadership in the urban development project, Brooklyn Village, makes his relocation to Charlotte timely as he will be strategically located to better serve the client and project.  In addition to Brooklyn Village and other local projects, David is leading urban design and landscape architecture projects across the United States.

David will support the firm’s design, management, and business development initiatives locally in addition to expanding the firm's design capabilities across North America.  The recipient of numerous international, national, and regional awards from the American Institute of Architects and American Society of Landscape Architects, he earned a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Pennsylvania State University.  He is a LEED-accredited professional, and resides in Charlotte.
