Simon has named Jesse McCrink as the new Director of Operations and Syara Perez as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Business Development at SouthPark, North Carolina’s premier shopping destination and the largest shopping mall between Atlanta and Washington, D.C.

McCrink, the former Operations Director at Simon’s Philadelphia Mills, now holds the same position at SouthPark. In this role, he is responsible for the center’s general upkeep along with new retailer build-outs and annual capital budget production for major upgrades and repairs. McCrink worked in marketing and management for 22 years prior to joining the SouthPark team, holding positions with companies including Southwind Remodeling Group, Alliance Flooring Inc., Macy’s Inc. and RoofSmart LLC. These positions supplied him with the hands-on experience and perspective necessary to excel in his new role as Director of Operations at SouthPark.

This development accompanies the addition of SouthPark’s new Assistant Director of Marketing and Business Development, Syara Perez. An Atlanta native, Perez comes to Charlotte from Dadeland Mall in Miami, where she completed Simon’s intensive training program. Perez’s responsibilities at SouthPark include assisting with promotions and sponsorships, support in overseeing marketing plans for the property and working to enhance retailer, community and media relations. Perez graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mass Communications. She is new to the Charlotte-area and looks forward to settling in and continuing her growth within Simon.
