Charlotte Pride, public officials to host press conference in advance of annual Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade

Representatives from Charlotte Pride, the non-profit organization which presents the annual Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade, will join representatives from local public agencies for a press conference previewing the weekend festival and parade, scheduled for Aug. 26-27, 2017 on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte. In 2016, the event attracted more than 130,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. Organizers expect to meet or exceed last year's attendance figures.

Trade & Tryon Sts. (S. Tryon St. in festival set-up area)

PARKING:
Media may park on our closed portion of S. Tryon St. between 4th and Trade Sts. Enter by turning right onto S. Tryon from 4th. A Charlotte Pride staffer or volunteer will be at the intersection of Tryon and 4th to offer any assistance. For driving/scheduling purposes, please note that construction on Friday will close the block of Trade St. between Tryon and Church Sts.
