Grant Thornton’s Raleigh Office Admits Jennifer Jones as Principal

Grant Thornton LLP admitted Jennifer Jones as a principal in the firm’s Raleigh office. Across the firm, Grant Thornton admitted 39 new partners and principals, and promoted 28 professionals to managing director.

Jones joined Grant Thornton in 2011 and serves as the leader of the firm’s Special Attestation Reporting solution group for the North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. regions. She has more than 13 years of experience leading third-party risk-related engagements and general risk and compliance engagements focusing on both IT and business process controls and the underlying general computer controls supporting those processes. Prior to being admitted as a principal, Jones served as a senior manager.

Jones is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), has her Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), and is HITRUST certified. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and the Institute of Internal Auditors, serving on the Board of Governors for the Raleigh-Durham Chapter. She is also a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Risk Advisory Committee. Jones received her MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees from Meredith College.
