Thomas Harris to Lead Structural Group for WSP USA in North Carolina

Thomas Harris has been named a supervising structural engineer in the Raleigh office of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Harris will lead the structural design group in the Raleigh office, responsible for structural design and project delivery for bridges and other structural projects throughout North Carolina.

Mr. Harris has nearly 30 years of experience in structural analysis, bridge design, plans preparation, and project management in the Southeast. His projects have included preliminary and final design for major river crossings; multi-level interchange structures; rail and transit structures; pedestrian bridges and design-build projects. Prior to joining WSP, he was a project manager with the Raleigh office of a national engineering organization, serving as lead bridge engineer on projects in North Carolina.

A licensed professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, Mr. Harris received a master of civil engineering degree and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. His community activities have included serving on homeowner association boards and in church leadership positions.
