MassMutual Carolinas, a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), has merged with a portion of NSC Financial, also a MassMutual member. Based in Ballantyne, NSC Financial (formerly MetLife) has offices throughout the Carolinas.

Flanagan will continue serving as president of MassMutual Carolinas and John Favaloro, CLU, managing partner of NSC Financial, will stay with MassMutual until Dec. 31, 2017 to help with the transition. In addition to Charlotte, MassMutual Carolinas has offices throughout N.C. including: Asheville, Greensboro, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Lincolnton, Morganton and Valdese; and in Columbia and Greenville S.C.
