Brixx is Fired Up to be in Fort Mill

The oven at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza is stoked up to 600 degrees and open for business. Brixx has opened in the Kingsley mixed-use development at 1343 Broadcloth Street, Fort Mill, SC, 29715. Brixx will be open until 1 a.m. six nights a week.

“We’re ready to introduce Fort Mill to its favorite new destination for wood fired pizza, new sandwiches at lunch as part of our speedy mid-day menu, and of course, the best late night snacks,” said Eric Horsley, managing partner of New South Pizza, Inc., parent company of Brixx.

Brixx specializes in creating pizzas built on scratch made dough, topped with a wide array of fresh ingredients and cooked in a wood burning oven to infuse them with the natural flavors of the wood. The menu also features salads, pastas and sandwiches complemented by 24 craft beers on tap, 14 wines by the glass and cocktails. The signature items on the Brixx menu are made from scratch every morning.

Special aspects of the design in Fort Mill include captain’s tables made by local craftsman David Marshall and additional wood finishes to match the architecture of Kingsley, which is itself inspired by the history of Springs Industries. A large, wrap-around bar provides a great place to hang out and enjoy a craft brew.

“We love what’s happening at Kingsley and knew Brixx would be a great fit,” says Horsley. "There’s so much positive energy in Fort Mill, and we’re eager to be an active part of this vibrant community.”

Brixx appeals to a wide array of palates and dietary needs, offering vegetarian and vegan items. In fact, the traditional and whole wheat doughs at Brixx are made with turbinado sugar and are 100 percent vegan. Vegan cheese is available at no extra cost. The restaurant also carries gluten-free dough and gluten-free bottled beer.

At 3,913 square feet, Brixx in Fort Mill offers seating for about 140 diners inside and about 60 more on an outdoor patio. It employs a staff of 60. The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, offering daily drink and food specials.
