Concord Mills, North Carolina’s largest family destination for value retail shopping, dining and entertainment, announced today the addition of its new play area. Currently open for families to enjoy near Nike Factory Store, the 1,200 square-foot amenity features a magnitude of interactive, athletic and educational elements designed to delight children of all ages.

Sponsored by SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord, the play area is split into three different pods targeted towards different age groups:

• Toddler Pod: Features sprout designs where little ones can climb and spin.
• Elementary Pod: Features climbing blocks and an electronic piano with touch sensitive pads including eight different musical notes.
• Tween/Teen Pod: Features a light tower challenge and an interactive electronic game, which uses light and sound. Parents can get in on the fun here, too!

The play area also features a soft seating area complete with charging stations to allow parents the opportunity to recharge as children play.

Concord Mills’ new play area complements the dramatic interior improvements that were recently completed, which have created a brighter, more inviting atmosphere inside the center. Visitors to Concord Mills can now experience a modernized environment with updated neutral tones, as well as a completely redesigned and updated Dining Pavilion; four new lounge areas with soft seating and Wi-Fi connectivity and chargers; improved lighting throughout the center with illuminated ceiling fixtures featuring state-of-the-art LED lighting; and updated way-finding signage to further assist shoppers in locating a store, restaurant or entertainment venue.

Home to more than 200 stores, Concord Mills has always had a reputation for providing an idyllic mix of sought-after brands, in addition to family-friendly restaurants and entertainment.
