A Concord, North Carolina-based ambulatory surgery center company has raised more than $518,000 in a private equity offering, according to a filing Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Gateway Ambulatory Surgery Center LLC raised the money from 10 investors and would like to raise another $216,000, according to the filing.

The company said the money may be used to make distributions among the members in proportion to their ownership, and the members include persons that are also executive officers and directors.

Gateway had raised $1.59 million in March.

Francis Langford is the president of the company. Langford is an otolaryngologist and is affiliated with Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast.

He received his medical degree from University of Mississippi School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.
