The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce will provide small business activities throughout the month of June and the Small Business Celebration will be held on June 29, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Conference Center in the Nathan Hall.
The Small Business Month will include several activities to highlight the small businesses within the twin counties area. The Chamber will kick off the month with a Coffee Exchange at Krispy Kreme in Rocky Mount on June 2nd at 8:00 a.m. where they invite you to come out and meet members of their small business committee, ambassadors and new members of the Chamber.
In the next week, they will help celebrate Dot’s Cleaners a new business to Rocky Mount at their Grand Opening on June 6th at 11:00 a.m. Dot’s Cleaners are located at 1691 Northern Boulevard. Throughout the rest of the month there will be several workshops for small businesses to attend throughout the Twin Counties. The Chamber will conclude the month of activities with their Small Business Celebration. The 2017 Small Business Celebration will provide our small business community a chance to do a full night of networking. This will give our small business owners a chance to be the focal point and that everyone who attends not only celebrates them but get a real opportunity to network with other business owners and community that attends.
Louie Bowen, small business owner and Radio Personality on WDWG 98.5 will be the emcee to keep the night moving along. Rose Hill will provide a variety of heavy hors d'oeuvres throughout the night.There will be announcements of several of the Small Business Awards which include Small Business of the Year, Small Business Advocate of the Year, Legacy Small Business of the Year, and Rising Star Small Business of the Year. The past Small Business of the Month winners will be highlighted as well. The gavel will be passed along to our new Small Business Committee Chairman, Kenneth Hunter.

The small business celebration is important because it enables chamber members to get together and celebrate small business and is a great networking event.
