Retail Center Rebrands to McCullough Commons, Gets New Name

New owner Ferris Development is rebranding Grand Promenade as McCullough Commons.

·         New leasing and property management team: Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF). NGFK’s Jill Ecuyer is the leasing broker for McCullough Commons. 

·         The 202,722 square-foot retail center is located at the intersection of North Tryon Street and East W.T. Harris Boulevard, across the street from the Carolinas Medical Center – University and just a half mile from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte campus. It’s also near University Research Park.

·         Tenant mix includes 50 stores and 13 food/dining options with national, regional and local retailers, including Ashley Furniture, Total Wine, Jos. A. Bank clothiers, FedEx, AT&T, Shane’s Rib Shack and IHOP.

·         Growing: With the help of NGKF, Ferris continues to add new tenants and freshen the center’s look.

·         Home to an economically strong neighborhood: The local economy drivers include hospital, university and multiple business parks in the area.

·         Easy access: The shopping center is located centrally at 230 East W.T. Harris Boulevard where Interstate 85 connects with local highways (29 and 24). It’s adjacent to the new McCullough Drive Extension that’s coming soon.

·         Located at exit 45 of I85, where more than 135,000 cars pass by daily.

·         Near the planned Blue Line rail extension in University City, which will create a more walkable facility as light rail service between UNC Charlotte and Center City begins in April 2018.
