A Durham, North Carolina-based tech company has raised $7.5 million in a private equity offering, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Get Spiffy Inc. filed the Form D on Friday. The company did not disclose what it intended to do with the proceeds.

Get Spiffy is an on-demand car cleaning technology and services company. The company provides an app that allows anyone to schedule a service.

Karl Murphey is the president and co-founder of Get Spiffy. Prior to his time at Get Spiffy, Murphey served as the president and owner of Carolina Auto Spa in Cary, North Carolina, for over 10 years.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell securities.

The form can be found here.
