First Tennessee Bank has hired Ronald C. York, CTP as head of treasury for the bank’s Mid-Atlantic Region. As a Certified Treasury Professional®, York will work out of First Tennessee’s office at 4801 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh to lead and grow the strategic direction of the bank’s Treasury Department in the region.

In his illustrious financial career, York has worked for TD Bank and SunTrust Bank in such capacities as senior vice president, regional manager, cash management sales and strategy; group vice president, corporate and investment banking treasury sales leader; and senior vice president, head of treasury and payments solutions sales, commercial-commercial real estate and private wealth management.

“Commercial banking and treasury management continue to be robust lines of business for us,” said Bill Holt, president, Mid-Atlantic Region. “We’ve hired several treasury management professionals in the region over the past few months, and I have no doubt that Ron will help us grow that business and other strategic opportunities.” 

York earned his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing management from Thomas. He has been a Certified Treasury Professional since 1997.
