The chairman and chief executive officer of Primo Water Corp. saw a 6.9 percent increase in total compensation to $877,981 in 2016, according to the company proxy filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Billy Prim’s total compensation in 2015 had been $821,387.
Prim’s base salary decreased to $439,804 in 2016, down 3.3 percent from $455,048 in 2015. His stock awards have remained at a set price of $140,850 since 2014. Prim also saw a slight increase in his non-equity incentive plan compensation, contributing to his raise in overall compensation.
President and Chief Operating Officer Matthew Sheehan also saw his total compensation increase in 2016 to $1,157,230 from $531,142 in 2015. His base salary increased 5 percent to $336,411 from $320,125, while his option awards increased to $532,390 from $59,758 the year before.
In October, Primo Water announced that it would acquire Glacier Water Services Inc for $263 million. The acquisition was the third and largest deal for Primo thus far.
The Winston-Salem based company reported revenue of $40.4 million, up 28 percent from the $31.5 million in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2015. It topped analyst estimates of $37.9 million in revenue.
Primo Water Corp’s annual meeting of shareholders will be held April 27 at 1 p.m. in Winston-Salem.
The company’s stock closed at $12.86 per share Thursday, down 0.92 percent.
