Curtiss Wright CEO David Adam Sees 17.6 Percent Increase In Compensation

The chairman and chief executive officer of Curtiss Wright Corp saw a 17.6 percent increase in total compensation to $7.3 million in 2016, according to the company proxy filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

David Adam’s total compensation in 2015 had been $6.2 million.

Adam’s base salary rose to $915,385 in 2016, up 1.7 percent from $900,000 in 2015. His stock awards and incentive plan compensation all increased over the year.

Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Quinly also saw his total compensation increase in 2016 to $3.3 million from $2.8 million in 2015. His base salary rose 2.5 percent to $615,385 from $600,000 the year before.

The Charlotte-based engineering company generates nearly $2.2 billion in annual sales and has 8,000 employees worldwide. It provides high-tech products, systems and services to the commercial, industrial, defense and power markets.

Curtiss Wright’s annual meeting of shareholders will be held May 11 at 10 a.m. in Charlotte.

The company’s stock is trading at $92.04 per share midday Friday, down 0.58 percent.
