Triad Semiconductor Inc. hopes to raise an additional $3.6 million to reach its $5 million private equity offering goal, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Winston-Salem based company submitted the Form D SEC filing on Feb. 7, and has raised $1.4 million from two investors. The filing did not state what the funds would be used for.

Triad Semiconductor is offering debt and warrant securities, with no minimum amount required for outside investors. The offering is not intended to last more than one year.

John Mark Goode, chief financial officer of Triad Semiconductor, signed the document. Goode previously served as director of the Oak Ridge Design Center for the Flextronics and FORGE Team. In 1993, Goode co-founded ASIC International and served as the vice president of engineering.

Triad Semiconductor designs and manufactures custom analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit solutions and offers configurable integrated circuit technology products.

The company was founded in 2002 and raised $3 million in 2015.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption are not required to register securities offerings with the SEC, but instead they must file a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.
