MobileSmith announced that its chief executive officer resigned, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and is being replaced by the company’s president.

Amir Elbaz resigned from his position as CEO, but he will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors, according to the Jan. 20 SEC filing, which can be found here. Elbaz will focus on investor and public relations and regulatory and operational compliance.

President Bob Dieterle will serve as CEO, effective immediately.

Dieterle served as the president of the Raleigh-based company since Aug. 1, 2016, chief operating officer since May 2014 and senior vice president and general manager since January 2011. He is chief innovator of the company’s flagship product, the MobileSmith Platform.

Prior to working with MobileSmith, Dieterle gained over 20 years of experience in global technology from companies like IBM and Lenovo.

Dieterle has a B.S. in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
