A Fayetteville-based company raised $740,000 in a private equity offering, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

VFD Real Estate Partners LLC., filed a Form D on Jan. 20, stating it has raised its total offering amount of $740,000 through one investor. The company did not state what it intends to do with the money.

The filing is signed by Anuj James, an owner and partner of Village Family Dental, which has offices in and around the Fayetteville area. VFD Real Estate Partners was founded in 2006.

James completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in biology, then graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2002. He joined the Village Family Dental practice shortly after graduate school.
