A Cary, North Carolina-based manufacturing company has raised $1.2 million from 19 investors, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Atmospheric Plasma Solutions filed the Form D on Jan. 17. According to the filing, the company plans to use an estimated $1.1 million of its proceeds for payments to executives or related persons.

The company hopes to raise $295,000 more for a total of $1.5 million, and the minimum investment amount is $50,000.

Atmospheric Plasma Solutions develops plasma power supplies and delivery systems to treat surfaces and remove industrial polymeric coatings on surfaces found in aviation, automotive, marine and civil applications.

Its PlasmaFlux technology generates a highly reactive plasma so that plasma processing can be used in conventional cleaning and treatment processes without the need for vacuum equipment or exotic gases.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but must file a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.

The form can be found here.
