Root9B Technologies appointed William Hoke as the company’s chief financial officer, effective Nov. 22, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Hoke, 55, joins the company from Road Machiner Inc., where he acted as CFO since June 2008.

Former CFO Michael Effinger will remain with the company and will provide transitional services to the company at the direction of the company’s chief operating officer.

Root9B Technologies provides cybersecurity and regulatory risk mitigation solutions.

The company, which trades on the OTC market, has clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to local, state and federal government agencies.

Before joining Roach Machinery Inc., Hoke served as interim CFO of Mesa Air Group Inc. during 2007 and 2008.

Hoke started his career at Deloitte after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.
