Poverty Dignified Raises More Than $600,000 in Private Equity

A Charlotte, North Carolina-based company has sold $610,751 in a private equity offering, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Poverty Dignified Inc. filed the form D on Nov. 23. The company stated it has filed to raise $750,000 in equity, with $139,249 remaining to be sold. Sixteen investors participated in the offering, according to the filing.

The company did not disclose what it intends to do with the proceeds.

Headquartered in Charlotte, Poverty Dignified is the parent company of Power Solutions Inc. Power Solutions is an energy franchise business that provides affordable mobile electricity through solar technology across Africa. Africhise Inc., another subsidiary of Poverty Dignified, provides franchise management services for Power Solutions.

Kevin Lowther and Trip Critz are listed as executive officers in the filing.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption, such Poverty Dignified, do not have to register securities offerings with the SEC, but must file a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell securities.
