Jeffrey Shavitz Joins Clickitgolf.Com As Investor And Chief Golf Officer

Company Opens Office in Boca Raton, Florida

Jeffrey Shavitz has acquired an equity interest in ClickIt Golf, Inc., joining the company as an investor and chief golf officer. As part of its expansion, the company has also opened an office in Boca Raton, Florida.

Since 2000, ClickItGolf.com has offered discounts inselect golfing markets throughout the United States. It’s the leader in the Carolinas as a marketplace to buy and sell discounted rounds of golf.

Prior to joining ClickIt Golf, Shavitz co-founded Charge Card Systems Inc., a national credit card processing company that helped merchants (including many PGA sections and individual golf courses) with their processing requirements for Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The company grew to more than 700 sales agents throughout the country with three regional offices. In 2012, Jeff sold the business to Card Connect; in 2016, Card Connect went public on the NASDAQ at a $480 million valuation.

“I love everything about the game of golf,” Shavitz says. “I see huge potential in ClickIt Golf to help golf courses increase their traffic and provide golfers with an easy platform to book their golf. And I wouldn’t mind if being involved with ClickIt Golf helps me lower my handicap.”

Shavitz’s first book for golf course operators, Driving Golf Course Incremental Revenue, will be released in January. He has written four other business books, including Size Doesn't Matter – Why Small Business is BIG Business. That titlereached #1 on Amazon in the entrepreneur and business management categories. It includes a chapter on the power of nurturing meaningful relationships on the golf course.

Shavitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Tufts University and spent one semester at the London School of Economics, specializing in finance. He is very involved in civic and philanthropic organizations, including Young Presidents' Organization.
