Deaven Niblock Joins Nelson Mullins in Charlotte

Deaven L. Niblock has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Charlotte office where she will focus her practice on the development and financing of energy projects with a particular emphasis on battery energy storage and solar. Her development experience includes land use, permitting, and environmental issues. She also advises clients on asset-based lending and merger and acquisition transactions.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Niblock served as assistant general counsel for an energy storage battery manufacturer and has worked as an associate attorney at a Concord, N.C. law firm. She participated as a student attorney in the Civil Division of the D.C. Law Students in Court program, where she assisted low-income Washington, D.C.  residents with landlord and tenant, and housing related issues. She also spent time, during law school, as an environmental law clerk to a company engaged in providing energy efficiency technologies to the business community.

Ms. Niblock earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, magna cum laude, and her Juris Doctor from The George Washington School of Law.
